I got this collection the other day in the mail and I must confess...
... I AM LOVING THEM!!!!!!
Usually I get this eye shadow collection to keep a few eyecolors for myself and give the rest out to my friends and family for Christmas.
But this year I can't seam to let go of these colors.
They are so beautiful and gorgeous and I am LOVING the 20 different shades and finishes!
I let Mom pick 2 and I put a side 4 more to give away. Leaving 15 for myself!
If I never buy eyeshadow for the rest of my life this Collection will last me till I die!

Hands down Bare Escentuals has THE best skin care products I have ever tried! I have gone to the store and tried every single skin care product known to man, including Proactive which is not sold in stores.

 

Now first I have to mention that NOT ALL skin types are alike.

What works for me may not work for you, or what products worked for you obviously did not work for me.

I do notice that Bare Escentuals skin care products gets a lot of great reviews. So If you did want to give it a try I always suggest buying a kit, you can find on their website many skin care kits, and pick one that works best for you!

 

First off I always had horrible acne and very oily skin! I started my path the clear, beautiful skin by meeting with a family doctor and being perscribed Doxycyline (which is an antibiotic - it fights bacteria deep within the skin). I truly believe that Doxycyline, which I used for only 3 months, was the first step in clearing my skin. Soon as I got my skin completly cleared out and all the bacteria from deep within my skin was cleared out too. After that getting regular facials and using the best skin care products is what kept my skin so clear and healthy looking.

 

I went to Luminous Skinn here in Ft. Collins and met the lovely Connie and Lindsay. Both have treated my face. I started getting Microdermabrasion treatments, about 4 total. Microdermabrasion is a non surgical procedure which gently removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells to reveal the beautiful, healthy skin layers underneath. By removing this layer, skin looks younger and newer skin is stimulated to produce more collagen and elastin, two elements of healthy skin. Regular treatments of microdermabrasion have reduced the appearance of brown spots, shallow scars from acne, hyperpigmentation (melasma), sun-damaged skin, dull skin, fine lines and wrinkles, and uneven skin tone and texture.

On top of the Doxycyline and Microdermabrasions I also used Bare Escentuals products, which was actually introduced to me by the lovely ladies at Luminous Skinn. I use the Bare Minerals Matte Foundation, Purifying Facial cleanser at night and foaming facial cleanser in the morning. As well as the Bare Minerals moisturizer, Pure Transformation Night Treatment and Renew and Hydrate Eye Cream.

 

The Matte Foundation contains Active Soil Complex, which is also in all of the skin care products. Active Soil Complex increases cell turn over, decreases the size of pores and fine lines, and puts antioxidants back into your skin.

 

I have recently tried the Adult Acne Kit by Md Formulations, which you can also find on the Bare Escentuals website. That kit was PERFECT for clear, healthy skin. It was also a little more expensive. If I could afford to I would use that Md Formulations every day, I like to get this kit a few times a year to give my skin care regimine a jump start.

 

Also what you put into your body plays a huge factor! I no longer eat fast foods like I used to or processed foods like I used to. I don't drink a lot of soda like I used to and I still workout, everyday if I can! Taking care of your body, by watching what you eat, excercising, and drinking plenty of water will improve your skin. If I still ate all those unhealthy foods my skin would take a turn for the worst, no matter my efforts of buying nice products to treat it!

 

This is my exact skin routine and process that it took me from going to horrbile acne covered, painful, skin to beautiful clear skin. This is what worked for me!

 

Now I still have left over scarring from when I had such horrible acne. I take care of that by going back to Luminous Skinn and getting Chemical Peels. I do not reccomend this for younger women. I am in my late twenties and these Chemical Peels are some hardcore stuff! They have definatly helped improve the scars in my skin, as well as fine lines. You have to be very careful with Chemical Peels because it litteraly burns off the top layer of skin revealing the beautiful new layer underneath. Which looks illuminated, but also very sensitive to sun. So after getting a treatment don't go out in the sun for a few days!

 

I also plan to get my face lazered, here in the future, to help the rest of the deeper scars deminish in appearance.

 

I hope that my procedure helps you to fight your skin care needs. I know there are many adults out there who still suffer from acne or the scars left over from acne. You can get it fixed! You can have beautiful skin and confidence that follows. I sincerely hope what worked for me will also work for you!

These tubs of majic are AWESOME! I have heard for years about using a eyelid primer for your eyecolor to stay in place. No matter how I apply my eyecolor or how much or little I use, my eyelid sweat and cause the colors to gather in the crease everytime! Usually by the end of a long day I'm wearing my eyecolor under my eyes, and I do not look nearly as hot as I was this morning when I first applied my eyecolor!

Since right now the Bare Minerals Prime Time Primer Shadows are on sale I thought it would be a great time to try one! I AM GLAD I DID! These things are freakin amazing! I can say freakin right? No one will get mad? Don't get mad, it's a sentence enhancer of how wonderful these primer shadows are! I love them because they STAY IN PLACE! They come in many colors which I love to use to excentuate my blue eyes; Chroma Violet (purple), Racing Green, Bronzed Twig (brown), Sundance (peachy) Gunmetal (silver), and Urban Nature (awesome earthy green that turns purple shimmer depending on light)! Usually their $18 but at the moment their on sale for $12! I tried the Chroma Violet and Gunmetal. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

I put my beautiful face on in the morning. That day I ran around chasing after my kids, worked out, ran errands, and finished the night with Dancing with my girlfriends!

THAT PRIME TIME PRIMER SHADOW STAYED ON ALL DAY AND NIGHT!

When I got home late that night to wash my face and get ready for bed I couldn't believe that the eyeshadow stayed on! It didn't crease (and I'm a very sweaty person, grose) it didn't smear or anything! Just beautiful color all day long. Also if you wanted to you could add your own eyeshadow color ontop of the Primer Shadow and it stays put all day too! I highly recomend this for women who are busy, women who work out, women who sweat, women who dance, hey... my kind of women! Try it for yourself!

Bare Escentuals is a company that sells Bare Minerals, Buxom, and MD Formulations products. Bare Minerals are foundation and skincare products. Currently Bare Minerals sells 3 Foundations: Original Foundation (loose powder), Matte Foundation (loose powder), and READY Foundation (compact). All 3 of Bare Mineral Foundations are unique just like all different types and tones of skin. So you want to know which one is right for you?

 

Bare Minerals Original Foundation

(loose powder) basically is applied in the swirl, tap, buff technique. What it does is adds luminosity to your skin. So if you have normal skin, dry skin, or dull looking skin; the Original Foundation is perfect for you.

It blends in nicely with your skin depending on your tone (cool, warm, neutral). Also if you usually don't wear make-up the Original Foundation is great because it has SPF 15 which is nice to protect your skin from harmful sun rays. Also the 5 minerals  are always good to put back into your skin.

 

Bare Minerals Matte Foundation

(loose powder) is also applied in the Swirl Tap Buff technique. What this one does is takes the shine away. So if you have oily skin or combination skin this is great for you because it absorbs the excess moisture and shine.

Also if you have problem prone skin or acne the Matte foundation is perfect since it contains Active Soil Complex which increases cell turn-over, decreases the size of pores, and puts antioxidants back into your skin. I personally LOVE the Matte foundation! I have problem prone skin and definately get sweaty and shiny easily!

 

Bare Minerals READY Foundation

(compact) keeps your skin looking natural, it does not add luminosity or take it away. Also it is applied totally differently! DO NOT use the Swirl Tap Buff method on this one! It is really spreadable. Just tap the tip of your brush on the compact (enough to pick up very little product on the ends!) and swirl all over your face. This one gets tricky for you BE loose powder lovers!

The READY foundation is perfect for people with dry skin. The READY foundation has Humic Acid and Glycerin which helps moisturize the skin. It also has the Sea Nutritive Mineral Complex which has positively charged nutrients from Seaweed and Algae. Also the READY foundation is cold pressed with Rose Hip Seed oil, which has Vitamins A and C, anti-aging benefits for your skin.

 

That’s the basics of the 3 different Bare Minerals foundation.

 

Which one is right for you?

I would say the one that fits your skin the best! Everyone has totally different skin types and tones; you may love one foundation but not so much the others.

I say look for a local BE boutique, store, or spa that sells BE products (you can find it on their website under “Store Locator”) and ask to have the foundations put on your face, walk around for a day, and look in a mirror outside (sunlight)to pick the one you like best.

If you don’t have a local store, or the time to do that, I would first recommend what type of result you want your foundation to give you, and then I would recommend what was notated earlier and going by skin type!

For instance, if you have oily skin you may not like the READY foundation as much as the Matte. If you have dry skin, you may LOVE the READY foundation over the original or the matte.

Many of you absolutely LOVE the Bare Minerals MATTE Foundation.
